Deep Woods Marsh

I painted this colorful, expressionistic plein air painting of marsh north of Jacksonville, Florida. After searching up and down the Amelia Island coast for an inspiring painting location, I stopped on a dirt road to Kingsley Plantation and painted this late afternoon view of the coastal jungle.
